Acquired one of the largest administrators of employee benefit plans in the US; thereafter, the business increased cash flow significantly and was sold for a large profit. The Los Angeles-based Company had 26 offices, over 700 employees and processed over $750 million of claims annually.
Acquired a medical cost containment company. At the time of acquisition, the Company was experiencing losses. When management was turned over, it had increased sales significantly and was profitable, serving such new clients as the U.S. Postal Service and Westinghouse.
Established a broadcasting company through the acquisition of radio stations in Colorado and the purchase of a nationally syndicated music program, Austin Encore-The Best of Austin City Limits. The radio operations, which increased in value as a result of significant power increases, utilized the most advanced digital computer and satellite technologies.
Established and managed a small group insurance company, which was later sold to a nationwide insurer. During the period of ownership, annualized premiums grew from $17 million to $55 million.
